I don't know about you, but I've been pretty sick of hearing about all these radio mixes of The Hanging Tree. Some are better than others, but lets be real -
they shouldn't even exist. At least not on the radio. You won't be seeing us posting any of those because, and I can't believe we even have to address this, it's WRONG. It goes against everything Suzanne Collins stands for and I am so sick of having to see them pop up all over the internet. Or rather, I'm sick of seeing them online with the words attached "radio remix". Ugh. We all know its not appropriate for it to be on the radio unless its the original cut, so let's just stop enforcing the idea. What people like is of course their own business, but maybe we shouldn't be validating any kind of remixes on the radio. Just a thought.
How about we appreciate awesome covers of The Hanging Tree instead?
This one comes from
Camille and Kennerly, who do epic electric harp duets. These chicks are super badass and have also performed arrangements of songs from Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, various video games, and Metallica to name a few.
